Engineered to fit over the crankshaft and engine front cover alignment dowel, this crankshaft holding tool positions the engine at top-dead-center for timing chain installation. It is compatible with 1993 and newer Ford 4.2L, 4.6L, 5.4L V-8, and 6.8L V-10 engines, providing the alignment necessary to prevent valve or piston damage in these non-free-wheeling systems. For expanded service applications, this tool can be used in conjunction with the 6009 and 6020 sets.
