The purpose of the dust collector filter is to prevent / reduce the amount of dust and debris that passes to the motor.  As a result of reducing this particulate it prolongs the life of the motor.

  • The large filter cartridge is easy to install.  First, you open the side door on the DC-4000 and pull the old cartridge out.  Next, to install the large cartridge filter into the cyclone dust collector you just push the new filter in place.  That’s all there is to it!
  • Certainly, routine maintenance of the filter cartridge is essential as well.  Determining when to clean your system depends on your usage.  The more you use the system, the more regularly you should clean the system.
  • Eventually, all filters should be replaced, even with proper maintenance.
